Blower works, but not out of air outlets
This is a 2004 Dodge Dakota 4 door automatic V6. Bought it new.
The AC blower motor sounds loud and does cool the cabin somewhat, but the air barely comes out of the vents on the dashboard! It is coming out a little out of the floor, dash, and defrost vents, but very little on each. Perhaps it is also coming out somewhere under the dashboard. When you switch the ventilator "mode" switch you can hear a change in the blowing noise but it still never comes out strong through any of the air vents dash, floor, or defrost. The blower motor is very loud, and probably working fine as you can hear it run at a high RPM. It must be an obstruction or a problem with the air diverting (face, floor, defrost) system. The motor speed varies with every setting, the strongest being the loudest. It is surely a problem of the air diverter or guides or just an obstruction. I've checked all the fuses. I'd like to fix this myself. Any suggestions as to where I should begin? What screws do I take off to get to it? I don't see anything wrong under the dash. I replaced the fan resistor before when it would only work on high. That's not the problem now. Thanks in advance to anyone with any suggestions.

No your problem is the blend door or an actuator problem on your 2004 they are electric not vacum actuators.
Remember the 1996 to 2000 are vacum the 2000 to 2004 are electric
