Did the spark plug wire come off cleanly? I pulled a wire and the metal contact pulled out of its boot, staying attached to plug. Making it longer. Since the metal heat sleeves were in, I did not notice untill the tool would not seat on the plug right, pulled the sleeve and pryed off the rest of the wire contact point.

Maybe?????????????????

I fought with it for some time. gave up put the plugs back in and took it to a shop. they said it would take 45 min of labor to change the plugs. but it ended up taking 5 hours of labor..... the guy who did it was not there. So I dont know y they were stuck so bad. I think its very possible that those were the original spark plugs.

Anytime ya change your plugs make sure you use that Anti-Seize, its only like a dollar or two but its well worth it. I had one break off on me and it took me FOREVER to get it out. Good Luck

Edit: Forgot to say if you do break it off like I did use an easy out on it. The ceramic and all came out of mine, that's why I was able to use an easy out on it. Good Luck Again

That's really weird, I would have liked to hear why they were so hard to get out, or why a socket wouldn't go over it...

How many miles on the truck? 3.9 v6 I assume?
