Default driver's side turn signal failures

I bought my 2002 Dakota Quad Cab from an insurance auction a couple months ago and the driver's side turn signal was flashing rapidly so I checked it and found one of the front bulb two filaments burned out. I replaced the bulb and applied dielectric grease and it was fine until a week ago, now it flashes rapidly again. I haven't checked it yet, but since then I noticed another Dakota on the road also with the rapid flashing driver's side turn signal. So now I wonder if this is just coincidence or do others have this same issue?

I had the same problem once before and what solved the problem was changing my rear tail light bulb.

There are two bulbs in each front parking light/turn signal housing, maybe check to see that both bulbs are OK. This happened to me before, I eventually figured it out.

Having same problem had no idea there were two bulbs in each housing thanks. I also had my right side start flashing fast, my dash left turn signal light stopped working periodically and my front right turn signal stopped working. Checked my bulbs all were good, read another thread from this forum about the combination flasher above the data port on drivers side, unplugged it plugged it back in fixed my problem except my left side is still flashing fast. I will check that extra bulb and go from there.
