okay so the engine in my dodge dakota 01 blew and i found some one who will sell me an engine, but they have a dodge dakota 04. They are both a 4.7 l and i just need to know if the 04 engine will match up with my 01...

the 04 will have a 32 crank tone ring and the 01 will have a 16, so no it wont work unless you swap tone rings which is a huge job.
