help
HI there first off will say I am new to the forum. I have some issues with my 2001 dodge durango 4X4 with 4.7 it started about a year ago when the timing chain broke on driver side I tore it down to find that I got 4 bent valves took to shop and they had heads done and all new timing components got it back from shop ran like crap would not idle they said it needed idle air motor and tps I changed them still the same took it back to the shop and they said I needed ecm so I bought an ecm had it flashed and put it in still the same also changed cam and crank sensors could anyone tell me what is wrong it will start and idle for just a min or two then die runs down highway ok
they said it was but I don't know for sure how to tell?? You can't use a timing light sad thing is that it has been a year since it broke down and still can't drive it only got to drive it for 5 months before it broke

Well I checked it and it is out of time but to re time it don't you have to have special tools and well I think I need to get a rebuild kit oil pressure sucks and it smokes some times what would you recommend rebuilding the one I have or going with a remand unit
Maybe the distributor is not turned to proper spot???????????????????
Too simple..............................
One things for sure, you need to run up your mechanics **** if he put it back togather improperly. Get your labor dollars back, at least. Shops charge 75$/hr +/-.

I would love to get money back from them but better to leave it alone don't have the money to sue but as for the truck it does not have a distributor coil packs the timing is adjusted by ecm if the cams are in time
