Nice dude! Glad to hear you're gonna do it for sure. I'm buying my paint and bedliner in a few weeks to do my wheels and that strip along the side. Looking forward to seein how it turns out.

there we go, all done, I also did the entire underside of the bed. There were some rust patches forming on the inside of the wheel wells so I used a fiberglass wrap, sanded and painted the inside as well.

EDIT: I did not go with bed liner, I used an industrial machinery paint that was literally as thick as tar, you weren't even supposed to use any thinner

How many bolts are there holding the bed on? How difficult was it to take the bed off?

6 bolts on the bed, pretty tight not too bad. Had to take bumper off because the spare tire spin rod sticks through the hole in the bed. Pretty simple. Just make sure you disconnect tail lights and gas door

But if I would have looked... I would have noticed that I could have just pulled that shaft out haha

Alright thanks. I have a rattle coming from the back of my truck that I can't for the life of me find. I'm about to take the whole bed off and see if I can find something. I've tried everything and maybe I'll find something do that.
