Default Exhaust Yay or Exhaust Nay?

Alright so I pulled the dakota over into the part of our yard that the dog destroys with it's "business" to decide whether or not this exhaust set up stays. What do you guys think? I kinda like the sound, especially for a v6, it just at times has a hint of rice to it.

EDIT: pardon me while i figure out how to post this vid

It doesnt sound too bad especially for a V6. Maybe some revs or maybe a take off on the road would help us decide.

IMO it has a real good sound at idle, but yeah I see where it gets a little ricey. Mine is the same except I just have a magnaflow. At idle it sounds real good and even with a few revs, but if you gun it there's a little rice to it. It's not too bad though. I think the best sounding exhaust setup that i've heard on the V6 is the Flowmaster 40 series (super 44 I think). I decided against that one because the magnaflow is stainless steel and shouldn't rust.

Doesn't sound too bad...it is a V6, and will never sound good...that's just the way it is.

I for one vote AGAINST the flowmaster 40 series...I've heard them..loud, obnoxious, terrible on a V6. I got a Dynomax and it sounds decent, but it's quieter than yours. You don't want a loud V6.

I say keep it, otherwise get a fiberglass filled muffler, not a chambered mufler like a flowmaster. They jsut sound terrible on a V6.

Really? Well I've only actually heard 1 3.9 dak with the fm 40 and I thought it sounded pretty decent. My muffler sounds pretty good, I made it a point to not get a muffler thats gonna make my truck sound like a riced out honda civic. A v6 is never going to sound like a v8. No matter what. You just gotta do what you like the most.

The 40 series is a loud muffler. A V6 with a 70 series might sound ok, but every V6 I've heard with a flowmaster sounds bad. Granted mine doesnt sound great, but it's more off a mechanical whooshing type sound then a grumbly flowmaster type sound. My truck kinda sounds like a 350Z but with a deeper tone, if that makes sense. IT doesn't get the "ricey" sound, but it's still higher pitched than a V8. I will try to take a video really quick and post it so you know what I mean.

Here is one of inside the truck

And here is one that I just made of outside. The annoying high pitched constant sound you here is the crickets living in my tree...and there is alot of background noise from cars driving by my house, but you get the idea. I will try to take a better one when the crickets go to sleep.
