Default new plugs @ 60,000 miles?

I just hit 60,000 miles on my 04 3.7. The manual says to change the plugs now, but is it really necessary? It also says to change the lube in the differential. Is that really necessary too?

Depends on what plugs you have now and how hard you drive the truck.

The manual also says if the temperature is below 0C or something you should change your diff fluid much sooner. I do the front and rear diff's after the Montréal winters where we get to -25C overnight.

I'm not sure if it is actually 'needed' but just in case right?

Two words:
PREVENTATIVE MAINTNANCE.

Pay a little now, or a lot later, most likely when **** hit the fan with something else. At least thats always my luck...

Autolite 3923's work pretty well with our trucks.

It isn't too difficult. U might have to remove the intake tubing to get better access. Use a swivel joint, it makes it a whole lot easier. Are you replacing the wires also?

I have an 04 3.7 too...change my plugs every 30k miles. Just go ahead and do both the plugs and rear diff fluid, better safe than sorry.

Changing plugs isnt hard at all. Just need a plug socket and some socket extensions.
