In 1980-81' one of those years, maybe both- Jeep put Diesel motors in some of the Export CJ-7s..But a Cummins Turbo Diesel ? Holy Crap, that's a ton of torque..I'm going to have to find that one..

Here is the 5.9 wrangler build. Warning make sure you have at least a hr to go through the 47 pages lol they only work on it when time permits so it takes some time but will be a badass jeep!!

I saw the thread, It seems to me like this guy took the motor out of a truck, Put it in a jeep then modified the Jeep to be a truck. It don't make a lot of since. I think I would have just kept the truck and saved a lot of time and money..However; It did give me some ideas..

Put a 5.9 cummins into a Jeep? Cool factor, +10, waste of money+100, will the jeep handle a TON of upgrades?-10=Whats the point? Anyways, let us know Hemi! I want to see this Hemi jeep, then I want to see it smoke that insane Cummeep that other guy is doing.

I heard that- It will be done...I had SO many people tell me I could NOT put a Hemi in a Dakota I finally got tired of hearing it. The Jeep will be a little more difficult , But I think it will be well worth it..One thing I won't do, is build a bed on the back of a Jeep. If I want a truck- I'll build another Hemi powered Dakota Quad cab..I'll start soon I just have to get some more things together, a Transmission, front and rear end, I don't think the Jeep axles are going to handle the 390hp..A few other things..I hope yalls don't give up on me before I can afford to start this thing..I'm kinda broke right now, and I don't have sponsors..

im interested in why the insurance companies wont pay on the dako?

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to start with a 4.7L jeep donor? Just sayin.

The woman pulled out in front of me and stopped. My light was green..The roads were slick, it had rained only for about 10 minutes. so when I hit the brakes, the heavy trailer behind me pushed me through when the wheels locked up. They did nothing to slow the truck down on the slick highway..That's what happened....
What she told the cop and insurance company was, She had the green light and I ran the red light..Not a damned soul stayed to witness the wreck. Her Insurance company found a way to keep from paying me by saying they can't determin who's fault it was, and no-one got a ticket..
MY insurance company said I only have liability, which means they will pay for the other vehicle, but not mine. It's up to her insurance to cover mine..
It's f#cked up..I'm 44 years old and I have never been in a wreck , but have been paying out to insurance companies for 27 years. That's a lot of money..CROOKS - CROOKS - It P!sses me off...It's no wonder people scam those sons of B!TCHES ..
