My headlights are beat to crap and im playing with the idea of buying new ones, I have been looking on ebay but im wary of what to buy and if it will be any good.

If you guys could post pics of your aftermarket pieces with information on their cost and the retailer you bought them from (even if theyre off ebay) it would be appreciated.

Oh yeah dont forget to mention if you think theyre any good!!!!

If i go the hid route, im looking for a slightly yellowish/white light, I HATE blue. Reminds me of rice, stickers that add 50hp, big wings, massive bodykits (another 50hp right there...), neon, fart cans, vtec. All that bull.

Sorry for the rant, my personal tastes came through right there

I just got a set off ebay from neondials. I paid 118.00 for them they are good only thing I dont like is the need a stronger mount on the side. Its not loose where it boucnes around and seems like its going to fall out but if you put pressure on it you can move them a 1/4in or so

I got my hid's off mydepots.com 5 people I know have lights from there and a member on here got his from there also. I have 6,000k which is the brightest you can go and it has a slight blue tint but you dont notice it that much, Its more white light than anything. Even 8,000k isnt too blue.

Reason I didnt go looking: sure i may find a pic of some that I like, chances of a detailed review and opinion...probly wont find it. But the post that dodgeramguy replied with is what im looking for. An honest, up to date reply regaurding my question directly.

I know its just another thread, but hey, if it helps me spend afew hundred bucks wisely? well worth it.

Yeah the paint is spot on you cant tell anywhere that it was in a accident. The front end sets off the whole truck now!

U want a yellow tint? How does blue remind u of ricers when most ricer cars have yellow hids? Subaru, supras, most REAL ricers r that tint lol

Haha subaru stis and supras may be from the 'rice land' yet i dont call those cars ricers. I reserve that term for the local-kid-with-a-civic 4cyl-with-stickers-and-a-wing-and-a-fart-can cars.

Rode in a friends truck tonight that had 6000k hids and i would be OK with having that spec, so my minds made up there, either that or 4500s....just need to decide on the housing. And if im willing to part with the cash being a student sucks haha.

Actually none of the ricers have hid's around me they dont have any money after them spend 2k on body kits and wheels lol

Oh god man be thankful that you don't live around me. Over here in milwaukee, there's Hwy 100 which is basically a really nice road that is completely straight and flat for about 8 miles and literally ricers will come from over 30 miles away just to cruze that road. All you see is HID,Fart Cans,Body Kits, Wheels. I live about 1/4 mile from that road so I get to hear them every night, and of course the race from every stop light... So many turbos..
