hey, i'm a new guy... having trouble with my 2002 Dakota 3.9 4x4 RC... when I start it up after it has sat for a while (overnight or during work) it starts fine and runs fine for about 2 minutes then while driving it begins to pop, miss and backfire... i'll lay off the gas for a second and then it goes away and runs fine again... NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, so it baffles me... i changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor and i am replacing the coil tommorrow (never know).... but other than that i have no idea. maybe someone can gimme some advice.

 

I dont know but let me know if you solve it because i have a related symptom on occasion in my 2.5
