Front body panels same as Durango?

Front body panels same as Durango?
Hi everyone first post here,
I just bought a 1998 Dakota 5.2 V8 ext cab 4x4. It was hit in the front and sustained minor/fair damage. I need to replace the hood, driver side fender, and bumper. My question is, does Durango have these same body panels as a Dakota? From what I can tell by looking at a Durango, they look the same. But I have to be sure. Also are there any differences from year to year.
Tommorow I am going to look at a ' 97 Dakota hood, and the same place has a 2000 Durango hood ( same color as my Dakota ). Do either of these have any slight differences from a ' 98 Dakota hood?

Welcome. The hood and the fenders will be the same. I think the bumper will work as long as you get a pre 01 bumper. In 01 they were switched to a "one piece" bumper. I'd get the hood that's the same color, as long as it's in good shape so you don't have to mess around with painting it. Good luck.

Cool thanks for the heads up. I picked up the ' 97 hood, it was in really good shape, with the right color for a good price. Also got a ' 01 Durango driver's fender which will need to be painted. Now I gotta find a bumper.
