you can trick the pcm into thinking the IAT is cooler than it is. i have one, but cant say it does anything one way or the other, but if it does i have one incase.

its called "power wire" sold at airram.com

Best thing to do is get a lower thermostat 180 Deg is perfect. That will get the engine temps lower as well as get the signal to the PCM lower. Any lower the PCM will read it is too low and set off a code.

But to answer your question yes you can trick the PCM to think the sensor is reading lower than it is. A simple resister will do, place it on the sensor output to the PCM. For what size you should look at the resister resistance chart and figure out where you want your final value at. But why make the PCM think is is colder when the engine is still hot and overall not do much if the engine is still hot. Like I said do a thermostat swap that is best for MPG and HP.

Yes you can add in a resister to the IAT sensor too. Best thing is just to relocate the sensor to the intake ducting hose. This way you still have a true reading of the incoming air temperature instead of the hot intake manifold temp.

Yea, even if you tricked the computer that the coolant is cooler, it's really not going to change anything, because the engine itself is whats affected by the temperature.
