Default 97 Idle Fan CFM

On a 97 5.2L 4x4 model with Fan Clutch and Fan, I forget how many blades but it has quite a few, anyone know what the idle CFM is?

I want to replace with an Electric fan and want to make sure what i get is better than the fan and clutch

OK.. so.. I know the price is up there.. but this is the one recommended by flex-a-lite that actually covers the entire Rad to properly pull in full air across the entire Rad for proper cooling..

Damn this thing is high priced.. I might just consider the Tuarus fan after all.. lol

I can tell you a good electric fan is moving a LOT more air than the clutch fan is at adle. The Grand Cherokee fan is popular, I'm using one on my truck, Mopar PN CBG4F250.

I too just picked up a Chevy HHR fan from Rockauto and am waiting for my dccontrol FK-50P controller to come in. I can't wait to get this thing installed.

Whats so special about the DcControler everyone pays over a bill for and waits for?

Why not just go with a Flex-a-lite or Mr gasket controller that ranges 29-40 bucks?

For me it's because it looks easy to wire, everything is inside the controller itself, it's easy to adjust and from what I read it works very well. And I like the fact that it varies the fan speed according to the temp instead of just turning it off and on.

But, if it fails I'll be the first to admit I made a mistake in going with a more expensive unit.

The Grand Cherokee fan is only 3" thick.

Surley there is an OEM fan on one of these models out there that will be a semi-direct fit, at least have a fan shroud that will fit it some what.. Liberty, Cherokee, most these rads are standard sizes anyways even if its off a FORD CHEV or some other make/model.

Just gotta figure it out i guess.
