Default 2 part quest. i get a thump after dealer replaced upper ball joints when i turn.. and

dealer now says i have a radiator leak that needs to be replaced.. i dont have a haynes near by anyone know how diff it is to change out a radiator ?
my truck is a 2004 4.7 clubcab SLT 2wd automatic with towing package..

i havent changed a radiator since my parents old 78 chevy wagon.. anything odd or weird about changing these.. and any ideas on the thump i get when turning almost as if something is bound but i usually ownly hear it from lock to lock sterring backing up or moving forward.. ie like backing out of my gravel driveway onto main road..

as always these forums rock and im soo glad i can come hear and read the forums on rainy days !

Default more info please

Could you elaborate some please?

I don’t know the V8 setup but if it’s the same as my 2.5L the radiator is an easy replacement not hard at all but I know the V8's are tight in the compartment wear as my 4 has tons of room

I can’t say on the thump till you give more info

Check the bolts that attach your control arm rod to the control arm bracket. Its welded to your frame. If they are loose they will cause a thud when turning and if loose enough it will pull to one side.

now would the dealership done anything to help the thunk along when they changed my upper balljoints.. i honestly had some loud squaling for a few days after the install i went back they said ball joint didnt seat properely and spread the grease around the filling.. does that make sense.. sense the one noise went away i left it alone.. as for the radiator.. main reason im asking is every parts store shows hoisting car up and installing radiator from beneathe and i dont have a car lift to do such a thing ..

Unless they took the the control arm off to do the ball joint then what I said could very well be it. For the rad you will need to pull the fan off(you can rent the tool from autozone you will get your money back when you take it back) then unbolt your shroud and lines and pull it out.
