Default Output speed sensor location???

Hey guys how's it going? Ok so I have a 1998 3.9 liter v6 2 wheel drive dakota sport with an output speed sensor that needs to be replaced. I also reset the code but it came back on as soon as I went for a drive. Iv'e done searches, looked at a diagram but I'm still not sure where the sensor is. I see the one on the back of the tranny(vehicle speed sensor), the parking/neutral, but I don't know where the output is. I bought a sensor but it looks more like the VSS sensor or the one on the way back by the drive shaft. Does the out put sensor look the same? obviously i'm not a mechanic but I don't see any reason to spend 100$ on parts and labor when it could take 15 min of my own time. Does any one have a better pic of the exact location and also a pic of the sensor? Hope i'm not asking too much. Any help would be much appreciated.
