Thunder - What size do you think would be the best for a H.O and do you think it would be worth while to try to do a turbo/S.C set up?

the HO cam will be just fine even if you plan on running boost. there are 2 guys in the 3g section that just finished rear mount turbo setups. look them up to give you an idea. one of them is remme, and mitsuraider i think are their names.

Thunder - I rear mounted turbo does sounds nice but with the offroading that I do, I'm not sure if the turbo would survive or do you think if would be fine? Or would I have to invest in some custom headers to run twins?

Thunder - No way! something you don't know about? haha Anyways I think I might look towards a rear mounted turbo setup. I don't see any huge offroading in my future, College is kinda occupying a bit of mine time when I look at it. I will check out those two threads!

Turbos are robust. Look at audis, subis or any other rally cars... But, that also is a different type of driving, unless you are trying to do trophy truck style...Just wheeling, High tourque/HP motor, if you want boost, a supercharger is prob best bet. You can get similar performance out of either, just depends on your wallet.
With turbos, Id expect to drop a lot of coin, basically new from the block out. Headers, intake, intercooler, fuel system(update/mod), intake mods....hell, at that point, you should just drop a diesel in, 4bt or I mean, go big, go cummins. Of course, thats a few more $. Just think what you want out of the truck, and, I hate to say it, but what would happen if it blows up....Thunder kind of knows about that....

Dakman - its one of those things that if I did put a turbo on it, i would turn down/possibly eliminate offroading. The superchargers are hard to come buy for the 4.7L so thats why a rear mount turbo sounds appealing. And once again with the diesel swap is that I could not do because of emissions with where I live.

Moparmam - a 212 does sounds appealing.
