Unhappy $2000....!!!!

hi you read the title that's what the dealer wants for all the cables of the a/c system i know is a lot of money and i ask about the same some time ago the a/c resistance burned 2 times and i don't know what could be and pay $2000 for have a/c isn't on my plans so i would prefer in invest 16 bucks for the resistance and sell it so how probably is that the bad cable is the pigtail....? any help.... please

How often is it blowing out? How melted is the plug?

I never understand how the resistor can melt like it does, and not pop a fuse.

yeah thats true it really didnt melt just stop working...!
and it damaged like every 2 months of use... it just let me ust the full air speed

My 2001 Jeep Wrangler did the same thing; those years have crappy cheap relay I had to replace mine for fan control 3 times.. the final and 3rd time it actually melted the plastic connector so i cut every last wire and put my own speaker terminal connectors on there and a new switch and didnt have a bit of problem out of it..
