Default Help identifying a connection

Can someone tell me what this connection is? It is located near the Evap test connection. Is it some sort of vent connection on the end of the hose. The hose runs down and toward the back of the engine compartment.

The yellow arrow points to the connection is question?

is this 4wd? if so may be the breather for the front axle. follow it down and see where it goes.
