Thumbs up to MBS Exhaust! (4.7L soundclip/video inside)...
I've had my 2000 Dakota for about a week now and the mod bug has already hit.
I've quickly realized the 4.7 (even in stock form) has a nice and mellow tone to it. I've always thought pickups look great with a dual exhaust system and I wanted something with a bit of a rumble.
Not looking to spend a lot of money (this is an extra 3rd vehicle around the house), I more or less looked for the cheapest stainless steel exhaust system I could find. I put a non stainless system on my last truck (Ranger) which literally rotted away after only 3 Michigan winters, so stainless was a must.
I found the Mandrel Bending Solutions (MBS) systems online for only about $200 non stainless and $300 in 409SS.
While muttering something to myself about "getting what you pay for", I closed my eyes and took a chance on the cheap option.
Honestly, my expectations were more than met. The system was well packed and showed up just a few days later. It looks fine and fitment was great. The tone is exactly what I wanted, something low key at idle - mellow at part throttle - and some bark at full throttle. When cruising steady, it's near silent in the cab. The video makes it seem louder than it is inside the truck.
Overall,

:i con_eddie:
Enjoy the video. The next one will probably be blasting through 3'+ deep snowdrifts.

Use it with the open back to get the most exhaust sound.
