Troubleshooting Transmission Problems Maybe
Here is the situation.
2004 Dodge Dakota Sport
4.7L V8 Engine
Automatic Transmission
Today on my daily commute there was a car accident and traffic was very backed up, about 40 degrees out and as i was stopping and going in the line of traffic, everytime i stopped my truck would idle down under 1000 and then my truck would try to slowly accelerate like it was engaging the trans, and it would kill it, this happened about 5 times, it was to the point where i would have to push the brake very hard to get it to not hit the car in front of me.
has anyone heard of this before or could somebody direct me towards a thread that discusses this or any ideas? Money is tight so I'm waiting on the shop at this point.
