Default 450hp '97 Dak 4x4 drive train requirements

It's kinda like getting out of control. I wanted to bump up the power of my '97 Dak 4x4 sport V6 by swapping a 5.2L into it but I found a same year 5.9L at Pick-A-Part for $250. How could I say no? Okay fast forward. The engine is built and preliminary estimates put the flywheel hp @450. I know I have to rebuild and bullet-proof my transmission. What about the NP231 TC? The 8.25 rear and IFS front ends? Only occasional off-road forays and probably will never jump it again. I didn't/don't want a monster, just a solid and dependable truck to someday hand down to my grandkids. Any opinions? Thanks

Thank you. very succinct answer...for the rear end. what about the IFS? I rather thought I would need to swap out the 8.25 for a 9.25 in the back.

once you get a 9.25 i would recommend swapping to a better LSD, auburn, or w/e brand you want. you will grenade your rear end and "c clip" with that power.
