well I went ahead and replaced the water pump. I bought one at autozone for $55 with a lifetime guarantee. Old one came out fine and new one went in fine thanks to your advice, but my problems started when I decided to replace my thermostat and hoses. I found out that the thermostat for my truck costs $25!! and both hoses are impossible to find. So now my truck is layed up in the driveway. I'll have to go to a stealership tomorrow and get raped for some hoses. What a nightmare

I got my tstat, bypass hose and lower hose at Napa. They did have to order some of it in, but it was all there at the store the next day. Maybe check Napa, if no luck there try Carquest if there is one in your area. Carquest is sort of known for having or being able to get odd parts that no other parts store sells. Now that I remember it I did have to buy my upper hose assembly at the Dodge dealer. They did cut me a good deal on it though, I seem to remember they took about $40.00 off the list price. Maybe if you have to buy all of your hoses and tstat at the dealer they will give you a multiple item purchase discount. Or ask for a wholesale price on it, the worst they can do is say no. The trick with dealers is to be polite and professional when asking for discounts on parts. Dealer price may even be good to start with, sometimes they are OK on some parts. Maybe check some online Mopar parts retailers or try www.rockauto.com, they usually have good prices if you can wait for shipping. You can get a 5% discount on rockauto, do a Google search on rock auto discount code, it should come up.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I have an 04 3.7. Apparently the hoses for my truck are unique to only that truck for that year so none of the stores carry them. I have to try a dealership today and cant wait for shipping because I need to have my truck up and running by the weekend. Wish me luck, I hope they go easy on me
