The question is can they tell if the computer has been reprogramed? Like with a sct tuner? I dont see how they could when its fried already. The pcm guy sounds like he is a bit scared the a tuner is going to fry his computer(maybe because its S*** but usually not if covered under lifetime warranty) Unless they get around it with the fine print. I would call a different computer person and ask them and see what they have to say.
Hemifever has nothing wrong with his tuning im pretty sure if he was, you would see a lot more threads out there on it.

Exclamation yes I think it can be loged the changes

Most any computer even a simple one like the PCM keep a log file it needs one to make the changes to the engine as it runs even though it can be cleared out by disconnecting the battery.

I think it’s like a version file like a bios version or firmware so you know the programing that is on the chip

I’m not sure but I think it keeps a log file so it can be diagnosed if problems do happen.

This is the impression I get....if it's lifetime, they're basically saying one of two things:

1. It aint gonna ever fail before we fall off the face of the earth

2. It's cheap enough for us, that we can have 5 fail per person and still be ahead of profit at $225 for the origional replacement
