Default Spare tire dangling

Checked my spare tire today and I can wiggle it around pretty freely, is it supposed to dangle like that?

It should be fairly tight.

Grab the wrench and give it a crank or two. It'll ratchet when it's "tight." You might want to check the air pressure in it too.

Thanks man! Started hearing a clunk in the back recently when turning and went to check what was going on and it's basically free to swing around.
