Unhappy 1999 Dodge Dakota does not start

1999 Dakota will not start. Electrical problem. Charged battery, cleaned up battery terminals then started. 2 days later will not start. Tried to jump start and just get click. after setting for a while the cab lights will come on, but after trying to start everything goes dead. No load on battery checks at 12.3 volts. Battery is less than 1 year old.

It could be a bad battery. Pull it out and have it load tested.

If it is very flat you may not be able to jump start it.
