Default The section where my brake pads slide is deeply grooved.

My pads seem to be locking up on the deep groove. Can anybody tell me what to do without replacing the part? I can't remember what it is called. I have seen some vehicles where you can buy a click and it covers the grooves then brakes work fine. Any help would be nice.

Default Exactly what I mean.

After replacing master cylinder, which needed it anyways and hoses. The pads still bind so i have to file that down next week when I don't have my kids.

Does this look like the right cylinder? lol

Default cant tell by pic

I cant tell by the pic.

If you still have the old flex brake lines I suggest replacing them they can cause caliper binding new guide pins/bolts are a good idea and only $5 the flex lines are $25 a side if you can afford it get all new calipers you can get them with the new bolts and pads all in one shot.

Default I posted that I replaced hoses.

Yea the hoses are done and calipers are new and slide pins are new and greased. I tried it without pads and the pins let it slide side to side very easily.

Exclamation the how and why of the groove

It’s very strange that groove how did it happen and why what was wrong to cause such a force so strong it put a groove in the knuckle or was it just vibration that caused it?

Groove not grove I was spelling it wrong

Personally I'd look at replacing them with a wrecker set, that is in good shape. Give them a good media blast and wipe with acetone. Then look at a high heat self etching primer, then a good build up of that Teflon paint.
