I have a 02 Dodge Quad Cab, it has 95,900 miles on it,it also is a 4X4 and has
4.7L-V-8. When driving down the road it shakes underneath the truck and i just had my tires rebalanced and rotated. Please Help me with this...

a bit more information could help more --- was it shaking before you took it to be rebalanced and rotated? do you feel the vibration at certain speeds or all the time? do you feel it in the steering wheel, your seat, everywhere?

 

my dad had a 1982 club cab double heavy duty springs. Ram VERY rough riding. over size tires. my dad went to a good tire shop, he was told he could change PSI from 70. to 40. it did make it better. the amount you can change will be different, i cant know how much well work for you. not all tires can be lowered in psi. just ask a good tire shop.

 

It was doing it before i took it. and it does start shaking at a certain speed like 35.
I can fill it in the steering wheel. I am thinking its the rear end or the drive shaft. May be trading truck this weekend hope so. I got the truck back in february and at 91,000 miles on it had to have transmission rebuilt , the service 4wd light is on and I am not happy with the truck anymore....

 

some times a dodge truck will vibrate cause the caliper pistons is hanging. mostly cause the piston is plastic and hangs up. you need a metal piston.

 

sounds like something front end. it could be like 15 different things off the top of my head. do you feel it in the pedal when you apply the brakes?

 

No I do not feel it when i apply the brakes. I am starting to think it is in the rear end some where. When I turn left and start up a hill from a dead stop i hear some rattling in the rear . What will make the service 4WD light come on.

 

Check your u-joints.

Who balanced your tires?

 

As Tbeck1985 mentioned. Check your u-joints. You may want to also do a check on the Motor Mounts. If you have a broken motor mount, it could give you a false sense that it's coming from the rear. Especially if it's under a load of some kind (such as turning to go up a hill or something).

Can't hurt to give them a quick check.

 

I am having to replace u-joints in the rear. Also just had transmisson rebuilt
back in march, it is starting to leak again.... So have to put it back in the
shop Monday evening ....
