15's compared to 16's the tire price jumps at least 20.00 per tire. So 15's are better imo. Bfg's are a lil bit more cash but they are more expensive for a reason. I never had a problem with them chunking or uneven wear like some of the cheaper tires do. The other good tire is nitto terra grapplers they are a bit cheaper but are a relativity good tire from what I hear.

Really want to fill out the fender well more with some 31's but I'm worried about how much gear ratio will change (If any) how much more fuel I'll burn and how much get up I'll loose... I dont think i could handle any more loss of get up and go.. ROFL!

IDK.. Still trying to decide.. but I'm torn at least for the moment between the GT's and BFG's. Pending on final deal i can get with DCT.

I'm also getting a bumper for my truck; old crome with plastic covering B.S. that came stock on the SLT got re-ended; got a check cut and picked up a painted one for $75 father in law is sand blasting and painting black.

So In the front I'll be taking the bumper cover off the front (the lower grey plastic ) and painting to match..

Dark Green with Crome and Black bumpers Wife says it will looks stupid; but My tool box is black and it looks good against the green.. We shall see..

:P

Well being that I have a 5.2 I didnt notice anything really other than it shifted out of overdrive a lil bit sooner than it used to. Mpg maybe dropped 1 mpg. I got a sct tuner now so not only did I gain way more power but I also gained mpg so im happy.

Jon- I think you'll be fine with 31's, as I jumped up to 265/70's from 255/65's and it hasn't really changed much with my V6. You shouldn't lose much mpg or notice much of a change driving it. And I had to do the Kota haha.

Ramguy- Yeah I wish I had 15's, tires for the 16's are a good amount more expensive. I'm not bashing the bfg's, I think the general's are about the same, just an off brand. And yeah tire rack sucks. They didn't even have the generals in stock by me.

Here is a better picture that I took today.

Thanks man. I don't think I've seen any of yours. But I was driving in the rain today, and these new tires have pretty good traction. I was able to spin them if I punched it, but I mean it's a rwd pickup with no weight in the bed. I am impressed with how good they did compared to the old ones though. The real test will be when the snow starts falling. I'd recommend them so far.
