Default Heater Fan Doesn't work

I have been working on my son's 1999 Dakota for 2 day's trying to find where the heater fan resister is. I am at my wits end! I have gone to the dealer and they just told me that they think it is under the dash on the passenger side. The NAPA store told me it was mounted to the plenumb. I can not find it! does some one have good directions.

It's under the cowl.

Use a battery terminal puller to remove the wiper arms.

Default Didn't See it there

So I bought a cheap puller and it worked like crap. But I was able to lift the plastic cowl and look under it. I didn't see any wires at all. or the back end of the resister. Could it be anywhere else?

It's in there. It's covered by a panel you have to remove, 2 hex screws. You might have to remove the vacuum reservoir, I can't recall. It's outboard of the RH wiper post.
