Whats goin on guys. I have a 99 dodge dakota with an SCT tuner, and Afe stage II CAI. I just got about a $700 pay check and im buying a cam with it. I just dont really know what cam to get. Anybody know any good cams for my truck? Im really looking for a rough idle/chopey sound, or something close to that. Anything helps thanks!

if you need a street cam, that wont break the bank. limit the duration to 268 advertised not .05. and lift to .430 inches. note this is not a race cam, VERY street-able, will idle just like the mild cam. i had one in 1965 chrysler 300L 413 ci 360 hp. a new yorker, had 248 duration, lift .389, 430 hp, very mild. the 300L (4200 lbs) did the 1/4 mile in 16.08 sec. totally stock. my 300L got the same mpg as the new yorker. but MUCH faster. just my ldea.

the sizes of cam will work about the same on different engines. you could a little more than i listed bout not to much. i have no idea how that works on newer type engines, like the electronics.

if the cam you chose makes it sound like rocks, you ll spend money at each pump you try to pass. if you like wasting money on gas you cant use on the street you will need to carry wheelbarrow to hold your money for the fuel. been there done that, not again.
