3 fuel pumps later......
Check your fuel injectors for leak-down. Unbolt the fuel rail and carefully pull the injectors out of the engine. Put the key in the RUN position without cranking the vehicle. There should be no fuel coming out of the injectors at all. I have a suspicion you may find leaky injectors on cylinders 1&5.
Here is a link which may help you diagnose.

I pulled my fuel rail and injectors but didn't notice any leaks. If you do this - make sure you releive the fuel pressure from the system before disassembly! Also, if you do this, go out and buy the orings for the injectors so that you can replace them while the injectors are out of the intake - could be possible that you have a dried up or cracked o ring. I did mine, not a big deal, just make sure you lube them because they will rip if not.

I had almost the exact same issue. I changed my fuel pump but still had the same problem. I took my fuel rail off and turned the key on and saw my #2 injector was leaking rather fast. That means everytime the truck was sitting it was dumping gas down that cylinder until all the pressure was gone. Got a 36$ injector from advance auto and now its perfect.
Good luck
