Default Finally pulling the V6 out

Whew! been at it for a few hours is all but I've run into what I think is a small problem. How do you get the A/C lines apart that are attached to the a/c radiator that is in front of the regular radiator? I am pulling the entire front upper section of the truck out because I am pulling out the engine/trans as a whole. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You need that fancy little tool that slips into that flared part of the line to get it separated . It comes in different sizes in a kit or there's ones that look like a pair of pliers to separate the a/c lines and fuel lines , get em at just about any auto parts store for a few bucks .

Hey Poncho! thanks for your reply. I do have an 8 piece set of fuel and transmission line removal tools but nothing in it deals with that a/c fitting. It has a 5/8" tube going into a flared fitting that looks to be secured with a circular spring. I tried with a small screwdriver and the spring didnt spring back until it was nice and loose. same situation. at least I didnt break it...yet. Any other ideas? Anyone?

Get the correct tool. You can just borrow it from most stores if you dont want to buy it...easiest way...

got it! even with the correct tool it was still pretty stuck but got it disconnected and have now got almost all the connectings undone on the engine and everything else I can do from the top and front side. After breakfast I'll get under the truck and disconnect everything else. Maybe get it pulled today. Woohoo! Thanks for the advise. I woulda never thought there was a special tool for that A/C connector. Thanks again.
