Default 2000 Dakota solid front axle swap

Any opinions on switching the front axle on 2000 dakota from an independent to a solid front axle?

Stock is just fine for 33's and lower on mild trails. Now if your trying to go larger or beat the hell out of it the a SAS would be your best choice. The FAQ (Just a few posts above) has tons of links to SAS's so you can get a good idea of what is involved.

Make sure you got the time, space and defiantly the money. Build your parts collection, build up the axles and all before you tear into the truck.

For me I planned for 1-2 months and $1,500, but it took 6 months $2,500 to complete and I still need larger tires. It ALWAYS take more time/money and space then you ever thought.
