Default 02 dakota 4.7 4X4 lift

I want to lift my truck 3-5 inches. I don't want to spend $3500 on a lift kit though. I was thinking of swapping my tear leafs to the top of the axle (can this b done on mine?) But the I need to lift the front 5 inches to level it out. What an inexpensive way to do this? I don't mind buying new shocks if I need to do a spacer but that will only give me 2" in the front. Can I do the torsion bars andthe slavery with new shocks? I'm just wondering how it would ride.

crank torsion bars and two inch blocks for rear axle and a 3" body lift... that is what is done to mine.

with wheel spacers you can fit 35s, they rub a bit but not too horrible. i have 305/70/16s which is about a 33x12.50

Nice. That's exactly what I'm looking for. Did u get new shocks, or keep ur stock ones? If so what length are the stock shocks so I can get new ones 2" longer.
