Really? I've already Greased every component on my truck several times; front drive shaft in the knuckle has fitting; cv joint at the hub (Kinda hidden) all my steering linkages and knuckles; (Except the actual knuckle going to the steering wheel) upper/lower ball joint; hell every movable part on my front end has grease fittings except for the bushings.

I really dought all those things were replaced; could it be a model year difference then; IDK; I know my Jeep came factory with fittings; and as far as I can tell my 97 kota did too.. IDK..

I'm just throwing it out there.. and if people dont have fittings; its a good idea too.. bc if you fill up with grease your less likely to break something under strees as well as grease will repel a certain amount of water and other things as its not water soluble. So. im just kinda throwing it out there.

no offensive but this looks like an insanely stupid thing to do with a $20,000+ automobile. I need my truck to get me to work and back and provide for my family. Running it into water and mud and risking braking it sounds stupid

Who has a $20,000+ auto in thos pics? If you have a 4wd and have never hit a good mud hole then you dont what you are missing. i spent many an hour(and all night sometimes) pulling out truck and getting stuck. I very seldom broke anything much but i learning how to replace the whole front end of my truck by servicing it. I only hit the mud when huntin' now but i still get a little wild eyed when i see a good ol mud hole on the side of the road lol.

I guess i just don't see it. My family and putting food on the table is more important then having "fun" ruining my truck and looking at a possible couple hundred dollar repair in the face

I'd say the tacoma and a few of the jeeps might be over the $20,000 price range. That being said even if it's a $400,000 car, what's the point in having it if you're not using it for what it's designed for... 4x4's are meant to be driven off road.

I'm 18 and in college if something breaks, I guess I don't go out and eat for a few weeks and use that money to pay for parts. I'm not bashing you in anyway so please don't take it that way but the most damage has been caused to my truck is about a year ago before I went with the lift and larger tires, I was going over a speed bump and my balljoints "broke" and I was left with a total bill of 2.5K after everything that broke got fixed. Stuff breaks, it happens to everyone. I just like having a some fun offroad is it the smartest idea in the world? probably not. But did I have a great time and meet a whole bunch of great people? yes I did.

I agree, everything should have grease fittings but the only reason my ball joints have them is because I replaced them. The stocks ones didn't have grease fittings. Nothing has grease fittings on my truck. I'm guess it changed between 2000 and 2001 when the interior's and other minor things changed.

Yeah well I don't have a family yet so I'm going to go out and have fun while I can. I take the responsibility that something might break, it happens, oh well. It's a hobby of mine. I would go more often if it wasn't my daily driver. Some people play golf to have fun, some people buy a 4x4 truck/jeep whatever and take it off road. I hope going to college pays off and I'm able to make enough money to feed my family and still have fun on the weekends but if I don't, oh well it was fun while it lasted.

It pays off at some point. I graduated 4 years ago and pull a little less then 6 figures but its never really enough to want to drive my truck through a water filled, muddy, God knows what else hole. That's why I bought the truck below for 1800. I go off roading but not mudding
