oil cap snot?

Default oil cap snot?

my oil cap looked like snot on the inside, dad said it means water got in it or something he said might be a head gasket but there are no other signs showing this...

Pretty normal in cooler weather, it's condensation that doesn't boil off. A 180º t-stat makes it worse.

alright thanks, i just never seen it with my 99 5.2 dakota, i run regular oil in the 5.2 and synthetic in the 2004 4.7

check the pvc valve. it keeps the moisture out.
