Tps?
Went ahead and changed plugs will I was under there. Plugs were so frozen I had to use a bar on a few to break them loose. When I got them out someone had gapped the old ones to .075. According the the service manual they should be at .040. I put them at .040. Still lacking the power but seems to be getting better little by little.
With how cheap plugs are. Ill never re gap them I dont like to. Should of spent like 25-30.00 for plugs and called it a day. How is pulling out? Is it very sluggish or is pretty normal for a v6
Should have said that different. I didn't re-use the old ones. Meant I gapped new ones .040. It has not power. At any time I can stomp on it and the tach climbs but it slowly gains speed. Not sure what to check next. It is almost as if something is plugged up. Maybe Cat?
I also have the 2003 with the 3.9. Check your Distributor cap and rotor. Mine were original with 175,000 miles on them and they were ate up. I do not know how it even ran. I bought the Borg Warner from O'Reiley's and now she runs like a champ. Less that $20 if I remember right. Good luck.
That is what was the next thing I was going to change. I am hoping that helps. Strange thing about it is, I was leaving work yesterday and had to get on it and it kicked in. First time it has done it. Tried it again and nothing.
