Default TV Cable Slack

I know this has been discussed many times. I just have a simple question I am hoping someone can answer. I have read up on the adjustment procedure for the TV cable. My question is for someone who has theirs adjusted properly. Before I go digging into this. When the cable is attached to the TB is there a lot of slack in it? I can push mine with my finger and move it side to side quite a bit. Is this normal or should this cable be pretty taught for the most part? I have a feeling when doing the check I am going to pull the connector off the TB and find that it is not in line with the TB connection.

Default what you are asking?

Are you asking about your throttle cable?

My engine is the 2.5L but my cable has some slack in it I don’t think its supposed to be taught just loose the throttle body has its own spring to keep the valve taught.

Is that what you are asking?

Default show info

Ts610

You should list your truck info that helps us to help you. In your user control panel you can insert that info and it will show up on all your posts.

Very helpful when asking questions

I have the Service manual, was just hoping someone could tell me how theirs felt. I am sitting at work and can't get to the truck and like to get all the research in I can before tackling jobs. lol. I see how to adjust and plan on taking a look tonight. Just thought someone might know.
