hi flow cat
From what I've been told its illegal or at least illegal in MD for a muffler shop to weld a high flow cat onto a vehicle. I've also read that a high flow cat will cause the check engine light to come on, since it is essentially hollowed out. Can anyone elaborate on if a high flow cat will set the check engine light off? thanks

thats a lie but what can you do
As he said go to a small shop they don’t care can’t you just bolt it on exhaust systems were built to be bolt on they don’t need to be welded get the clamps and do it yourself then if it comes loose later just go get it welded at that time they can’t say anything to you all you are asking for is some welding.
I could be wrong about the welding on part every state has different laws Im in AZ.

i've done exhausts systems before but its been like take a cat off, put a cat on. Install a muffler ect. what I was wondering though is how hard it would be to put a muffler with duals exiting pipes because I Would have to run a 2nd exhaust pipe with out hangers and that wasnt made to run on the vehicle so how would I hang it? how hard would this be?

well I decided to order a magnaflow hi flow cat from jegs and for about $100 it seemed like a great deal. The parts stores couldnt get anything in for a week or more, for the same part. I also got really tired of being asked "what year is it, what make and model, 4 wheeldrive or 2, what engine size". I finally said I have 2,5 in 2.5 out I want a universal hi flow. They couldnt even pull this up as fitting my vehicle until I gave them the parts number. Thats pep boys, advance auto, auto zone, car quest. What a pain in the ***
