Question Lighted cup holders

I rarely drive my '97 Dakota 4x4 at night since I acquired it. Last night I drove into town and spilled my drink (Diet Pepsi)on the way. That was when I realized how difficult it is to seat a drink back in the holder at night. My previous '07 Ram 3500 had a small LED that lighted the cup holder area. Has anyone come up with a creative way to light this area, or has it been a problem for anyone else?

I have found this to be an issue with mine also. I am always trying to drive and route for my coffee on the way to work. The hardest part is trying to put the drink back in the holder. You can not see them at all. I have not seen any solutions for this yet. Will keep an eye on the thread.

I have seen a cigarette lighter plugin light that may work

Too old to have that feature haha. You can get a small led from radio shack or any other hobby store and then wire it in with the lights.

yeah i would say drill a little hole for it to wedge into wire it to the lights, and seal it in there. maybe put a ring of hot glue or any other glue before you slip it in the hole.

You just gotta get the feel down for it An led would be pretty cool if you could rig it up to look good though, however I've never had the problem of finding the hole so never really even thought about the idea.
