Default Brake problems! Help!!!

My brakes started acting up. I have recently replace the front rotors, and pads. The rear brake cylinders, shoes, drums, and springs. I've also bled the brakes. My brakes have been working fine. I did have a brake cylinder bust in the rear before I replaced them both. I didn't notice rite away until my brake pressure was terrible. My master cylinder was then almost completely dry because of it. Now after take the rear brakes apart, replacing both brake cylinders and then putting everything back together and bleeding the brakes, the brakes now are acting up on and off. Today I got into the truck and went to leave for the gym. When backing up I felt no brake pressure and my brakes went almost to the floor. It did stop and I parked the truck and checked the fluid. It was low so I topped it off. Then as I was driving my brake pressure then felt fine. I got to the gym all was well. When leaving again my brake pressure seemed to be gone and I had to press the brakes to the floor and stand on them to stop and not drift forward. I then could hear the brakes making noise like creaking as the truck wanted to inch forward. Immediately after this all brake pressure was back fully and the truck stopped very quickly and easily. I drove around for an hour after this playing with the brakes and didn't have a problem. I called my buddy who is very good with this sort of stuff and he suggested that by the fluid getting low in the master cylinder that it possibly damaged the seals and the seals have to heat up to stop leaking and that's why I didn't have brake pressure twice when first starting up the vehicle as the brakes were cold. What do u guys suggest??? what should I look at??? I didn't notice any leaks anywhere. I also had my drive shaft brake last weekend and I figure maybe something could of been damaged as a result but I haven't noticed anything at all. Thanks

Get under the truck with a light, if your master goes empty it's got to be leaking somewhere. Check all the lines running along the frame, proportioning valve, all around the master, and I would suggest popping off the rears and checking out the wheel cylinders.

When you put the pedal all the way to the floor with no fluid, you're potential extending the plunger for the master into an area where there may be contaminants on the sleeve, which could shred the seals. When you're doing it dry, it's even more likely. If you have no leakage anywhere, seals on the master would be next.

Default everything is new correct

Everything is new correct except the master cylinder?

Sounds like a leak because you found the brake fluid low.

Check the bleeders maybe one is leaking on you and sucking air also, if the rear wheel cylinders are new they should be fine but sometimes you can get a defective part.

Your shaft came off maybe it damaged a section of the hard brake line or the flex line inspect all those lines in the back of the truck.

Check for leaks everywhere.

Bleed the system again

yeah the one wheel cylinder busted and leaked fluid everywhere. I found fluid all down my driveway and down the street. That was when I was driving down the highway and realized i had to floor my brakes. Not a fun time by the way.

Yes bleeder could be leaking and sucking air also but remember those are not to be cranked on to close them just tight/snug or you could snap it off.

Hay your info is now showing great

yeah i had to replace my drive shaft yesterday and the clamps that hold the u joint to the flange on the drive shaft wouldn't fit. The clamps wouldn't fit because good old Tawain didnt make it to the rite specs. I ended up drilling the holes bigger and it still didnt fit rite. I ended up pulling 2 rusted ones off of a dakota at the junk yard and they went on in 10 seconds.

Lightbulb check the connection

Check the connection of the hard line to the new wheel cylinders maybe you got a leak there and need to get them a bit tighter.

Default Brake Pedal doesn't seem to hold pressure!

Hi,

I'm new to the furom group and was wondering if someone could help. I replaced the brake line to the back block on my truck and can only blead the back brakes through the bleeder on the block ( the RR LR bleeder screw doesn't look like it even exists). So i blead the front brakes and the block and didnt see any leaks but it wont hold pressure any advice?
