sooo i started plastidip my rims today! since i lost all the money i had for new rims cause i moved out on my own an had to pay a security deposit on the appartment.. i decided to plastidip these til i get more money. i only took this pic after first coat (still wet) on one rim... i now have 3 coats on all 4 rims and they are drying in my heated garage over night and ill put them on tomorrow so heres this pic..
then i decided to plastidip my chrome grill and put my headlights in ;] i think it looks pretty good! ill post more pics tomorrow with the rims done an mounted tomorrow afternoon let me know what you think!

Looks real good man! I'm interested in this Plastidip. I've never heard of it, and I've been planning on doing something about my corroded rims when it gets warm. I'm wanting to paint them a dark smoke grey, not quite black. Whats the difference with Plastidip to paint? Can I get a dark grey?

You can paint over the plastidip just let the dip dry for at least 24 hours. Also if you want a shiny finish after it drys you can clear the dip with clear coat. Trust me on this I am also in the VW world and you see alot of colored wheels and a lot paint over dip. I dipped my grill back in summer and i am getting ready to do my wheels also and i am going to clear coat them.
