Update on sputter/misfire issue, looking for input
Sorry, I could swear I saw on a Sea Foam can they said change your oil afterwards. Maybe that was on the Red Line, I don't know. I would still do an oil change after using Sea Foam anyway but that is just my opinion on it. I think it is strong stuff, too strong to leave in the cranck case.
You can buy Regane pretty much anywhere, Advance, Auto Zone, etc. Walmart is the cheapest place to get it, down here it's about $5.00 for regular Regane, a little more for Regane High Mileage.
Have you removed any spark plugs? Are they all OK? Maybe that is the problem.

Haven't yet. Sometime this weekend I'll change the oil and while I'm at it I'll look at the plugs. The plugs should be alright. They only have about 20k miles on them if I remember correctly. I'll have to look in my book to see when exactly I changed them. At the most they have 30k miles on them but I think its closer to 20k.
One thing I like about the 4.7 is how easy it is to pull plugs. They're all easy to get to and checking them is easy. So while I'm waiting for the oil to drain maybe I'll pull the plugs and look at them. If they seem to have any issues I'll just replace them. They're pretty inexpensive.
