Default Cabin air distribution/selector?

Good evening, everyone.

I have a 2001 Dakota Sport, Quad Cab and 4.7L. I'm not sure exactly what it's technically called, but my "airflow distribution ****," for the purposes of this discussion, is not distributing air properly. The only positions that work/blow air from are from the upper vents and defrost. I can't get anything to come out from under the dash.

Any ideas?

(I guess while we're on the subject, the fan speed only blows on a couple of the settings. One or two are unresponsive. Actually, I can get Low, one of the two middles, and the High settings.)

Thanks in advance!

Fan speed - blower motor resistor. It's a common problem and the connector frequently melts. Look up under the dash, passenger side.

HVAC - check by the accelerator pedal, there is an actuator there and some ducting. It's really easy to get knocked off or damaged.

Cool, thanks!

Will check on that...after I fix the power window that broke today.
