Default Tow hitch question

Looking to add a receiver hitch onto my '04 sxt. Found a guy selling one off of his '05 durango. Does anyone know if that will fit on my truck?

I doubt it will, since that is a different Generation then yours.
But I would suggest find out exactly the brand and model number of the hitch and look it up. There are lots of universal types maybe it is one that may work.

I asked him for a part # or model # and he said there wasn't one.

This is the hitch:

Go to Reese or DSP hitches and look up the part number for your truck then look up his and compare the 2 numbers. if they dont match they will not fit.

I highly doubt it. Go to autozone and get a class 3 reese hitch. I got mine for 119.00. I've pulled some heavy loads and I yanked 1,500 lb's of drag line cable over a small hill. I had to get a running start 5 or 6 times and my hitch held up great never came loose.

Where are you? there are like 5 Daks in a local junk yard here...I could maybe do some legwork for you...

or just get a decent aftermarket...me, i'd just get a new reese or other brand...
