Default Truck Whistles While Cruising.

Hi guys,

Alright so I've been cruising to and from work for the past few days and I've noticed a progressively louder whistling noise.

I'll find that if you give the truck gas or give it none at all it's fine. It's just when you have your foot resting on the pedal barely applying any pressure just to keep your speed that you hear it.

It starts off faint but within a few seconds it gets louder, loud enough that people on the side walk turn their heads.

What could this be? Is it still fine to drive?

Thanks.

sounds like you could have an exhaust leak. It could be anywhere from the manifold to the muffler and all the connections inbetween.

Hmmm, the cat was replaced about a year ago and they did a full exhaust inspection.

I'll still crawl under and check for leaks.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Its prob your intake. I know having a cold air intake mine whistles pretty loud and its most noticeable under light throttle. Check all your tubing and air filter. If you want a vid to see if it sounds the same ill take one for you.

Now that seems more like the problem.

All I was concerned about is whether or not its still safe to drive haha.

Thanks guys
