03 dakota 3.9 4x4
My check engine light keeps coming on.An I had a scanner put on it an it said a vacuum leak.I have replaced the gas cap an I found a line that was cracked. But the light keeps coming back on after a day or two. Do you guys have any ideas were the leak could be? Thanks
If you have an evap code. I had the same thing happen recently to my 03 4x4. As many have said here in the past check the hose under the drivers side running into the charcoal canister. At first glance mine did not appear cracked. I pulled it off and on the top of the hose it was split. I replaced it and the code has not returned since. Another thing to check is under the hood. There is a hose running from the purge solenoid to the front of the throttle body. I also found this one completely disconnected and split on 2 different places. That one did not fix the evap after fixing but it wouldn't hurt to check.
Ts610 dos that other line that gos into the canister have that t adapter with the cap on it. I looked at that line an the line from the t with the cap on it to the canister it has a crack ganna replace that an c if that works but first got to get my durango running first.
The line that I found was cracked did not have a t adapter on it. It ran from the canister and got smaller as it ran to hard plastic hose about a foot toward the front of the truck. The end on the canister is larger so you may have to go to oreillys and grab adapters to make it work.
