Default Hesitates to Shift After Hard Driving

Hi guys... 3.9L, 4x4, Auto

It seems my truck will get stuck on gears or hesitate to shift if I give her a lot of gas.

Some guy was going 40 in a 60 zone(km/h) so I sped up to pass him and when I released the gas and was waiting for the truck to shift up it wouldn't. I was driving at around 3k-3500 RPMS for about 15 seconds and then finally it shifted hard.

Same thing applies at a stop sign. Slow down, stop, go, and the truck will be about 2500-3500 RPMS until it finally shifts.

Only 43,000 kms on it - was driven by my grandfather for those first 40,000kms.

Thanks

Is it all the time? I think I would try a tranny flush.

Yeah, I try to keep my foot off of it as much as possible just for gas reasons so if I did drive it hard it would probably do it.

The fluid seems fine - nice and red, I'd be worried about doing a tranny flush cause thats how my Grand Prix died.

After I got my tranny flush done on that as a recommendation from Surgenor's( f*** em) it was worse and found out online that you shouldn't get it done to a car with transmission issues.

It depends on the tranny. Some have over 100k and have been well used so flushing them cause cause more issues. I know tons of people that have flushed their trannys and it cured a lot of their problems. It could really only be 3 things,tv cable needs adjusted, sensors are going bad or debris in the valve body. The tv cable is the easiest thing to do as it just needs adjusted up by the throttle body.
