Default Wendys Drive through

Every time I go through the Wendys being I'm lazy and Whataburger is too far away, when i go through the drive through someone always comments that my "DA" is missing from the word "DAKOTA"...

Or the other times they ask "what is a Kota" and I'm like "Your looking at it" ...

LOL

Ha that is too funny, people can be so dumb sometimes. Did you have any issues taking the lettering off? Also how old was the truck when you did that with the letters? I have been thinking about de-badging mine but I'm afraid that since it is white it will show where the letters were since under them won't be faded.

This hasn't happened to me yet... I bet it'll happen tomorrow or something now that I said it haha. Random question for you: Did you notice any paint fade when you took of your DA? I had a little bit if you look at it in the sun but it seems to have blended back in.

Yours should be fine, unless you have the sticker kind like me. But I think they only did that on Base models or SXT's. Maybe sports, idk. If you have the metal/plastic type, it will be fine.

My Dakota was repainted before I bought it. When I drove it off the lot the only badge on the truck is the one on the hood - since then, I found two V6 Magnum badges for the front fender ($5 total, what-a-bargain!). I never really thought about de-badging any of my past vehicles but my Dakota looked pretty cool on the lot without'em. I still like how it looks, especially since it's mostly all black but every-once-in-a-while I'll see a seemingly mint or very well maintained Dakota with all the badges and I wonder how mine would look.

I'd try lighter fluid or WD40 first. That goof off stuff messed up the clear coat on my last car pretty bad. Lighter fluid has served me well with getting glue and sticker residue off.
